Responsibilities

  • Call Center Job Description: Enjoys Learning about a variety of Department of Revenue tax procedures, including tax filing and payment requirements.
  • Provides best-in-class customer service by phone and in written correspondence in a fast-paced call-center environment.
  • Applies knowledge acquired in training and utilizes resources to analyze and problem-solve.
  • Responds to a variety of tax inquiries.
  • Accesses data utilizing basic computer skills.
  • Communicates professionally using correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation both verbally and in written formats.
  • Complies with all ethical and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced call center environment.
  • Customer service-related experience.
  • Experience adhering to ethical and confidentiality requirements.
  • Excellent communication, patience, and problem-solving abilities to help address taxpayer inquiries and diffuse difficult situations.
  • Knowledge of tax regulations.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot tax-related inquiries.
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
