Responsibilities
- Call Center Job Description: Enjoys Learning about a variety of Department of Revenue tax procedures, including tax filing and payment requirements.
- Provides best-in-class customer service by phone and in written correspondence in a fast-paced call-center environment.
- Applies knowledge acquired in training and utilizes resources to analyze and problem-solve.
- Responds to a variety of tax inquiries.
- Accesses data utilizing basic computer skills.
- Communicates professionally using correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation both verbally and in written formats.
- Complies with all ethical and confidentiality requirements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced call center environment.
- Customer service-related experience.
- Experience adhering to ethical and confidentiality requirements.
- Excellent communication, patience, and problem-solving abilities to help address taxpayer inquiries and diffuse difficult situations.
- Knowledge of tax regulations.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot tax-related inquiries.
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
