Position Overview
This unique Staff Accountant role provides hands-on experience in both Tax and Audit, offering a well-rounded foundation in public accounting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare partnership, S corporation, and individual tax returns
- Absorb tax projections and estimated payment calculations
- Support audit and review procedures
- Prepare and document workpapers in accordance with firm standards
- Analyze financial data and assist with internal control testing
- Collaborate with engagement teams to identify and resolve client issues
- Communicate project progress to management
- Participate in training and professional development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s preferred)
- Foundational knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Actively pursuing CPA certification
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Educational background in accounting or related field
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Commitment to teamwork and professional growth
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in public accounting or related field
- Experience with tax software and accounting systems
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
