Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with gathering and documenting business and system requirements
  • Analyze complex business problems to be solved with automated systems
  • Communicate to clients in a timely and effective manner
  • Work with cross-functional teams to address business or systems issues
  • Develop the necessary process documents, data intake forms, tools, and work plans required for each project
  • Understand business rules and requirements and apply knowledge to client applications and deliverables
  • Build capabilities in key technologies that enable tax professionals for client service delivery such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, Power BI, and more

Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing or have obtained within the past 12 months a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, Systems, or an equivalent program from an accredited college or university
  • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Coursework or minor in information systems, software engineering, computer science, or data and analytics preferred
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following is preferred: MS Access, VB, Power BI, Alteryx, and/or SQL
  • Strong technical, business acumen, critical thinking, and agility skills
  • Demonstrated ability to excel and drive strategic outcomes, coupled with a professional demeanor and a collaborative leadership approach in a dynamic, evolving environment
  • Demonstrated quality service mindset, strong technical aptitude, and ability to learn and navigate technologies such as AI, Alteryx, Power BI, MS Office Applications (including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook), and apply emerging technologies to enhance tax processes and insights
  • Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills; feedback-oriented and resourceful in delivering high-quality work
  • Must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the office for this position and be able to travel to reasonably commutable work locations using a personal vehicle or public transportation
  • Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, at times with relatively short notice
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future (KPMG will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this opportunity)
