About the role

We are seeking a motivated Tax Associate to join our team. This role will focus on the preparation of tax returns for professional services clients, as well as high-net-worth individuals, families, and related entities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns, including:
    • 1040 (Individual)
    • 1041 (Trusts & Estates)
    • 1065 and 1120-S related to partnerships and S corporations
    • 709 (Gift Tax)
    • Related entities such as management companies, holding companies, and investment partnerships
  • Aid with tax workpapers, supporting schedules, and other engagement deliverables.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment and support engagement teams as needed.
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Maintain strong organization and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform basic tax research and assist with documenting research conclusions.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work in the office a minimum of 4 days per week.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university required. MST a plus.
  • Active CPA license, EA certification, or progress toward certification preferred.
  • 1+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting preferred.
  • Experience preparing individual, partnership, S corporation, trust, gift tax, and investment partnership returns preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and tax research platforms (e.g., CCH, BNA, RIA).
  • Knowledge of CCH Axcess preferred.
  • Exposure to multi-entity and multi-state taxation issues preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build strong professional relationships.
