Tax Associate
Husch Blackwell LLP is a national law firm with multiple locations across the United States, serving clients with domestic and international operations. We have an immediate opening for candidates in Austin, Kansas City, Milwaukee, St. Louis, or Washington, D.C., though we will consider applicants for any of our offices, including our virtual office, The Link.
About the role
The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience in a wide range of complex federal transactional tax matters with non-profit and for-profit clients, including business entity formations, mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations. Experience advising clients on state and local tax matters, including income, franchise, sales, and use tax, is also preferred.
Candidates should have an active bar license in the state corresponding with the office to which they are applying or commit to obtaining one as soon as possible.
Requirements
- Active bar license (or commitment to obtain one promptly)
- Minimum of four years of tax experience
- Experience with federal transactional tax matters for non-profit and for-profit clients
- Experience with state and local tax matters (preferred)
Pay
- New York, Vermont, Washington, D.C.: $235,000 – $318,000
- California, Colorado, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington: $230,000 – $315,000
- Illinois: $215,000 – $315,000
- Minnesota: $215,000 – $285,000
- All other markets: varies based on market data
