Tax Associate
About the role
Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Tax Associate with at least four years of experience, preferably in Austin, Kansas City, Milwaukee, St. Louis, or Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have experience in complex federal transactional tax matters with both non-profit and for-profit clients, including business entity formations, mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations. Experience with state and local tax matters is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Advising clients on a wide range of complex federal transactional tax matters
- Participating in business entity formations, mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations
- Providing guidance on state and local tax matters, including income, franchise, sales, and use tax
Requirements
- Active bar license in the state corresponding with the office to which you are applying, or commitment to obtaining one as soon as possible
- Experience in federal transactional tax matters with non-profit and for-profit clients
- Experience with state and local tax matters

Pay
The compensation range for this position varies based on location and is as follows:
- New York, Vermont, and Washington, D.C.: $235,000 - $318,000
- California, Colorado, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Washington: $230,000 – $315,000
- Illinois: $215,000 - $315,000
- Minnesotta: $215,000 - $285,000
