Tax Associate
About the role
Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Tax Associate with at least four years of experience. This position is open to candidates in various offices, with a preference for those in Austin, Kansas City, Milwaukee, St. Louis, or Washington, D.C.
Responsibilities
- Experience in complex federal transactional tax matters with both non-profit and for-profit clients
- Business entity formations, mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations
- State and local tax matters, including income, franchise, sales, and use tax
Requirements
- Active bar license in the state corresponding with the office to which you are applying, or commitment to obtain one as soon as possible
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a law degree from an accredited law school.
Skills
Strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.

Pay
Compensation range varies based on location:
- New York, Vermont, and Washington, D.C.: $235,000 - $318,000
- California, Colorado, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Washington: $230,000 – $315,000
- Illinois: $215,000 - $315,000
- Minnesotta: $215,000 - $285,000
