Key Responsibilities
- Aid in preparing federal, state, and local tax returns for partnerships, corporations, trusts, and individuals.
- Organize and reconcile tax data from financial statements, brokerage accounts, and Schedule K 1s.
- Support quarterly estimated tax calculations and tax projections.
- Conduct tax research on regulations and technical issues to ensure compliance.
- Absorb tax provision calculations and financial statement reporting.
- Prepare workpapers and documentation to support tax filings and audits.
- Maintain and update client or entity tax records and files.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, accountants, and external advisors to gather required information.
- Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate application.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 02 years of relevant experience (internship experience in tax or accounting preferred).
- Basic understanding of federal and state tax concepts and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with tax software is a plus.
- Progress toward CPA or intention to pursue CPA certification preferred.
