Tax Associate
The Role
You prep returns in your pod, business and personal, for review. High-income physician households, complicated situations, real volume. The standard is exacting, because review only works if your prep is clean. During season the pace is relentless, and there is nowhere to hide a sloppy file. You have to be on top of every detail, every deadline, and every client, every day.
Responsibilities
- Prepares accurate and timely returns for review.
- Handles high-income physician households with complex situations.
- Manages a queue of returns with strict deadlines.
- Ensures all clients are accounted for and deadlines are met.
- Builds towards becoming a Tax Senior and Manager through learning advanced strategies.
Requirements
- CPA or EA certification, or actively working towards one.
- A Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation preferred.
- 0 to 2 years of tax preparation experience, preferably including individual and business returns.
- Accurate, organized, and capable of handling high volume work.
- Ready to demonstrate your work and show your proficiency.
- Hungry to learn planning and to advance to a Tax Senior or Manager position.
Qualifications
High executor who is relentlessly on top of their work. Detail-oriented, accurate, fast under volume, and organized enough to never drop a deadline or a client. Energized, not drained, by a large book of complicated clients. Hungry to learn planning and to move up, and willing to earn it through reps and execution rather than waiting on a title.
