As part of our Accounting Methods and Credit Services practice in Business Tax Services, you’ll help high-profile clients understand, analyze, and respond to complex business opportunities and challenges while developing your career through multifaceted engagements, formal training, and informal mentoring.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tax-related tasks involving tax compliance for a variety of clients, including partnerships, corporations, and S-corporations.
  • Participate in research and drafting of technical memoranda, consulting engagements, tax compliance and provision assistance, controversy support, risk management, and interaction with additional service lines such as State and Local Tax and International Tax for multinational and domestic companies across a wide variety of industries.
  • Utilize technologies and tools in client service delivery and participate in technology development initiatives, including bot development and use of Alteryx and other data enablement tools.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to develop and sustain excellent client relationships.
  • Manage offshore team members, third-party contractors, and/or shared services team members as part of internal and external projects.
  • Keep up to date on current tax practices.

Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing or have obtained within the past 12 months a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, taxation, mathematics, economics, information technology, data and analytics, engineering (financial, industrial, or systems), or an equivalent program from an accredited college or university.
  • Preferred degrees and/or areas of study: Accounting and Taxation.
  • Must be pursuing the state-specific education requirements to be a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the principal place of business (the state in which the office is located), with completion of required academic credits prior to the start date.
  • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Coursework or minor in information systems, software engineering, computer science, or data and analytics preferred.
  • Strong technical, business acumen, critical thinking, and agility skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to excel and drive strategic outcomes, coupled with a professional demeanor and collaborative leadership approach in a dynamic, evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated quality service mindset, strong technical aptitude, and ability to learn and navigate technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, Power BI, MS Office Applications (including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook), and apply emerging technologies to enhance tax processes and insights.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills; feedback-oriented and resourceful in delivering high-quality work.
  • Must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the office and be able to travel to commutable work locations using a personal vehicle or public transportation.
  • Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, at times with relatively short notice.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
