Tax Analyst - Staff or Senior

About the role

We're working with a privately held, growing organization to hire a Staff or Senior Corporate Tax Analyst to join a small, high-impact corporate tax team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and format GL data for tax provision/compliance software
• Cook up sales tax data and new location setup
• File excise returns; respond to tax notices
• Reconcile tax accounts; calculate estimated payments
• Support audits and external tax preparers

Requirements

• Corporate Income Tax experience is required
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
• Strong data analysis (G/L, large data sets, apportionment, tax notices)
• Public accounting tax considered
• Experience with sales tax and W-9 processing
• Exposure to corporate tax provisions and returns (1120, GAAP provision)
• Self-tarter with strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

Qualifications

• Nice-to-Haves: Tax administration experience
• Journal entries and high-volume data exposure
• Financial services or insurance background
• CPA not required
