Primary Objectives
- Gather and analyze information needed for the preparation of foreign, federal, state and local income and franchise tax returns.
- Preparation of foreign, federal, state and local corporate income and franchise tax returns, including supporting work papers, identification of book/tax differences, and review of state apportionment.
- Preparation of quarterly federal, state and local income tax estimated payments including extensions.
- Preparation of calculations and reporting of tax provisions subject to IAS 12.
- Proactively resolve state notices to minimize assessments and prepare responses to state tax notices.
- Aid in Indirect Tax data analysis and filings.
- Assist with miscellaneous non-tax filings including annual reports, LLC filings, etc.
- Assist with tax research related to tax audits and tax compliance activities.
- Aid in identifying and implementing tax planning strategies to meet the Company’s objectives.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- Provide tax support to internal business units.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years of tax experience with a public accounting firm or a corporate tax department. Experience should be a mix of tax accounting as well as corporate income tax compliance.
- Indirect tax experience is a plus.
- Strong PC skills including MS Office
- Experience working with tax software applications (Corptax, Bloomberg), SAP experience a plus
- Excellent analytical, problem solving ability, verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate initiative and technical tax expertise
- Ability to manage process flow, multiple projects, and meet deadlines within strict time parameters
- Ability to organize, multi-task, and work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work as an individual and in a team oriented environment with a high level of integrity and professionalism both in person and with remote team members.
