About the role
As a Tax Analyst on our Accounting & Finance team, you will support corporate tax compliance, reporting, and audit activities. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure accuracy and timeliness across all tax-related processes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and format general ledger data for use in tax provision and return software
- Support federal, state, and local tax compliance activities, including filings and payments
- File quarterly federal excise tax returns and assist with estimated tax calculations
- Monitor and manage sales tax data, including coordinating with external tax preparers
- Set up new tax locations and ensure proper configuration for compliance
- Reconcile tax-related general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Respond to federal and state tax notices and inquiries
- Support tax audits by gathering and providing required documentation
- Partner with accounting teams to ensure accuracy of legal entity reporting
- Assist with data preparation and coordination for external tax return filings
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, tax, or a related field
- Experience working with tax data, filings, or compliance processes
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data formatting, analysis, and reconciliation)
- Experience working in corporate accounting or public accounting environments
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with income tax filings and e-filing processes
- Experience supporting tax audits or working with external auditors
- Experience with tax provision or return software
- Experience working with multi-entity or corporate tax structures
