About the role
Tax Advisor, International Tax and Transaction Tax Services (International Corporate Tax Advisory), Financial Services Office (Manager) (Multiple Positions)
Responsibilities
- Advises clients in the financial services industry on complex domestic and international tax issues.
- Focuses on buy-side due diligence, structuring and cash tax modeling; sell-side tax assistance, structuring and cash tax modeling; internal restructuring; capital structure and refinancing; distressed debt and bankruptcy; and tax attribute calculations and monetization strategies.
- Serves as a member of multiple client engagement teams, participating in due diligence and structuring engagements related to transactions for private equity and strategic corporate clients.
- Reviews, assesses, and advises clients regarding tax computations reflected in their financial models; assists clients in the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the tax data in their financial projections for the transaction.
- Manages and motivates teams with diverse skills and backgrounds.
- Maintains long term client relationships and networks.
- Cultivates business development opportunities.
Requirements
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax, Law, Business Administration or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience in tax.
- Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax, Law, Business Administration or a related field and 4 years of related work experience in tax.
- Must have 4 years of experience in tax due diligence, deal structuring, and post-acquisition planning.
- Must have 4 years of experience with inbound or outbound transaction consulting, including international tax research, planning and/or compliance.
- Must have 4 years of experience working on client engagements, including engagement-related budgeting and billing, serving as a primary point of contact for clients, and escalating issues to tax partners or executives as needed.
- Must have at least one of the following: active CPA certification, sufficient coursework/experience requirements to obtain CPA certification within one year of hire, US State Bar license, sufficient coursework/experience requirements to obtain US State Bar license within one year of hire, or Enrolled Agent certification.
