Tax Administration & Operations Manager
About the role
Focus Partners Wealth is seeking a Tax Administration & Operations Manager to join our team! We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and client-focused professional to manage and oversee the tax return pipeline, coordinate client onboarding, maintain critical tax data, and support process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the tax return pipeline, ensuring timely progression of client engagements from onboarding through filing and delivery.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, advisors, and internal stakeholders, providing proactive communication and exceptional service throughout the tax engagement lifecycle.

- Support and lead operational projects focused on process improvement, technology enhancements, workflow optimization, and team scalability.
- Assist with operational and administrative functions of the tax practice, including document scanning, workflow processing, data management, return packaging, shipping, and other client service support activities as needed.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in tax administration, tax operations, client service, workflow management, project coordination, or a related role within public accounting, wealth management, financial services, or a professional services organization.
- Demonstrated experience managing high-volume workflows, return pipelines, client onboarding processes, operational initiatives, or similar.
- Strong client relationship management skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience participating in or leading projects involving process improvements, technology implementations, system enhancements, or organizational change.
- Strong analytical, and data management skills with the ability to identify trends and make informed recommendations.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities, with a proven capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Adaptable and growth-oriented mindset with a desire to take on increasing responsibility and pursue leadership opportunities within a rapidly expanding firm.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with tax workflow software, and practice management tools preferred.
Benefits
This position is an exempt position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $80,000 - $95,000 per year base salary compensation range. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant’s skill set.
The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
