Task Order Project Manager

About the Role

Leads projects that involve the successful management of teams composed of data processing and other information management professionals engaged in analysis, design, integration, testing, documenting, converting, extending, and implementing automated information and/or telecommunications systems for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).

Performs day-to-day management of overall contract support operations, possibly involving multiple projects and groups of personnel at multiple locations. Organizes, directs, and coordinates the planning and production of all contract support activities. Establishes and alters (as necessary) corporate management structure to direct effective contract support activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage teams of data processing and information management professionals.
• Oversee day-to-day contract support operations, including multiple projects and personnel at various locations.
• Direct planning and production of all contract support activities.
• Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
• Analyze source documentation and support the creation of acquisition documentation.

Requirements

• Must hold a Project or Program Management certification (e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent).
• Five (5) years of experience in program management.
• Ten (10) years of leadership experience with progressively higher responsibility in the public and/or private sector in IT and/or consulting fields.
• Experience with the Information Technology Acquisition process and its milestones.
• Bachelor’s degree.
