Salary
$80,000 - $90,000 starting salary

Qualifications
AOS and/or formal culinary degree preferred but not required. Minimum of 5 years of progressive and stable experience in culinary management and kitchen operations, with prior fine dining experience required. Must be able to develop relationships and lead kitchen staff effectively.

About the Role
This role involves overseeing the implementation of Marcus Hotels & Resorts' tools, systems, and standard procedures. You will assist with food operations, including cooking, menu item creation, and training staff. You may also temporarily fill the role of Executive Chef.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Senior Director of Culinary Operations, you will:
- Oversee the implementation of Marcus Hotels & Resorts' tools, systems, and standard procedures
- Assist with all food operations, including cooking and menu item creation
- Train and supervise culinary staff
- Work with hotel and kitchen management to improve efficiency, cleanliness, teamwork, and food costs
- Represent the corporate office while at properties
Requirements
You should have:
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive and stable experience in culinary management and kitchen operations
- Prior fine dining experience
- Leadership skills to motivate and mentor kitchen leadership and staff
- The ability to develop relationships and work effectively with co-workers and other departmental personnel
- The ability to represent corporate interests and handle a heavy travel demand
