Task Associate

About the Role

The Task Associate (TA) is responsible for delivering operational excellence to support sales drivers and provide an exceptional experience for Ulta Beauty guests. This involves keeping fixtures stocked, maintaining store cleanliness, and completing assigned tasks. The TA supports the Merchandise Manager (MM) and Operations Manager (OM) through a focus on performance, people, and process, ensuring compliance with operating procedures and standards.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding store retail goals by ensuring tasks are executed as planned and products are available for purchase.
• Meet compliance and execution goals related to the task dashboard, including shipment and replenishment processes, merchandise sets, and inventory counts.
• Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
• Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates, peers, and internal/external guests.
• Participate in ongoing training, including brand and category education, to drive professional development and sales performance.
• Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards.
• Complete merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, and physical inventory procedures using Ulta Beauty’s technology and best practices.
• Maintain store standards and cleanliness in all areas, including the sales floor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area.
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices and providing exceptional guest service.
• Execute other operational tasks as directed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Skills

• Proficiency with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system and Apple devices).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Problem-solving skills.

Special Requirements

• Flexible schedule, including early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays.

Working Conditions

• Continuous mobility throughout the store during shift.
• Frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting.
• Continuous and/or frequent lifting, carrying, and moving up to 25 lbs.
• Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects.
