About the role

Kenan Advantage Group, Inc. (KAG) is North America’s largest tank truck transporter and logistics provider, serving energy commodities, renewable fuels, chemicals, specialty products, food products, and merchant gases. This full-time, on-site Tanker Driver role is based in Seattle, WA. The Tanker Driver is responsible for safely operating tank trucks to transport bulk liquids and other assigned commodities, following all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company safety policies.

Daily tasks include conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, monitoring load integrity, completing required documentation and electronic logs, and communicating with dispatch to coordinate routes and delivery schedules. The role involves loading and unloading products using appropriate equipment and procedures, maintaining the cleanliness and safe condition of the vehicle, and interacting professionally with customers at delivery sites.

Responsibilities

Tanker Drivers are expected to follow safety protocols at all times, report incidents or maintenance needs promptly, and support an efficient, customer-focused operation.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (such as tanker and, where required, hazmat) and a clean driving record.
• Demonstrated experience operating commercial vehicles, preferably with tanker or bulk liquid transport, and strong knowledge of DOT regulations and hours-of-service rules.
• Ability to perform thorough vehicle inspections, safely handle loading and unloading procedures, and follow detailed safety and emergency response protocols.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members, along with reliable documentation and recordkeeping abilities.
• Physical capability to manage hoses, valves, ladders, and related equipment, and to work in varying weather and environmental conditions.
• Commitment to safety, integrity, and service, with a focus on teamwork, problem-solving, and adherence to company policies and industry standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; additional training or certifications in transportation, safety, or hazardous materials handling are beneficial.
• Willingness to work assigned schedules, which may include nights, weekends, or holidays, and to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
