Responsibilities
- Adheres to all pertinent regulatory standards, follows strict infection prevention precautions, and ensures medication safety.
- Communicates effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
- Abides by nationally recognized standards and code of ethics, participating in practice changes, process improvement initiatives, and completion of all required education.
- Completes timely assessments including physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors, such as signs of abuse or neglect.
- Makes appropriate decisions and implements interventions based on nursing diagnoses according to patients' actual or potential health conditions or needs.
- Prioritizes and completes follow-up assessments, evaluating and modifying plans of care as needed.
- Assesses and interprets diagnostic data relative to patient age and condition, including lab results, non-invasive monitoring data, and interdisciplinary team notes.
- Promotes an exceptional patient experience through effective communication with patients, families, and visitors, including hourly rounding.
Requirements
- Ability to learn and apply computer-related applications and programs, including using electronic keyboards and other peripheral devices.
- Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
- Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills.
- EKG competency testing (based on facility/unit requirement).
- BLS from American Heart Association obtained within 6 months of hire.
- New RN graduate or Registered Nurse with < 1-year experience.
- Previous work as a CNA, Student Nurse Tech, Triage Tech, or EMT in an acute care setting is preferred but not required.
- Volunteer experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
- Current BLS from American Heart Association preferred.
- Working knowledge of principles of Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Effective computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, OneNote, Snagit, and Visio.
- Demonstrated project management, collaboration, and customer relation skills.
- Ability to work in a matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals.
- Ability to use tools provided to generate custom reports based on specified business requirements.
- Solid leadership skills, initiative, and self-direction.
- Basic understanding of HTML and SharePoint preferred.
- Familiarity with networking, IT, and computer hardware terminology preferred.
- Knowledge of Project Management practices and software (MS Project, or other PM tools) preferred.

Schedule
Full Time Shift Scheduled are Full Time: 7:00am-7:00pm/7:00pm-7:00am (Shift availability varies by unit and location)
