About the role

The Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel is seeking a part-time Host Person to join their team. Reporting to the Outlet Supervisor, this role involves ensuring prompt recognition and seating of guests in outlets and assisting servers in providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service.

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
• Greet and seat guests at appropriate tables in a timely manner.
• Be attentive to guests' needs and assist in providing a pleasant dining experience.
• Aid the cashier in collecting payment from guests and servers as necessary.
• Prepare and submit cashier reports at the end of each shift.
• Pay out servers' and service attendants' tips if applicable.
• Know how to make reservations for outlets.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Prior fine dining experience is preferred.
