Talent Pool - Law Enforcement and Prosecution Mentors

About the role

TIST is seeking experienced law enforcement and prosecution specialists to support upcoming international projects, subject to programme award and mobilisation. We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with experience supporting US Government-funded programmes, strong technical expertise, and operational or programme delivery experience in overseas or complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Training or mentoring law enforcement actors or institutions internationally
• Delivering US Government-funded programmes
• Working with diverse, multi-national teams and stakeholders
• Communicating effectively and managing organizational tasks
• Adapting to challenges and providing solutions
• Undertaking multi-week or extended field deployments
• Specializing in law enforcement or prosecutions
• Working with US Government and international security-sector stakeholders

Requirements

• Experience in law enforcement or prosecutions
• Technical expertise in relevant areas such as early warning mechanisms, community engagement, extremism prevention, digital forensics, etc.
• Experience working in fragile and conflict-affected environments, including Central Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa
• Strong understanding of grant compliance requirements, including equipment management
• Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft 365 applications
• Desirable language skills in Portuguese, Arabic, Russian, Tajik, or Uzbek

Qualifications

Mentoring or programme experience is required, preferably within US Government-funded programmes. Experience delivering training and mentoring using case-based exercises, developing SOPs, operational procedures, or reporting frameworks, and working in fragile and conflict-affected environments is preferred.

Skills

Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused approach. Strong communication and organizational skills. Technical specialisation in law enforcement or prosecutions.
