About the role
The Talent Associate plays a critical role in advancing Classical Charter Schools’ mission by identifying, engaging, and selecting exceptional talent to serve our scholars. This individual will engage with full-cycle recruitment efforts, with a particular focus on the ClassiCorps Teaching Fellowship, our selective three-year teaching fellowship, while ensuring a rigorous, data-driven selection process and an exceptional candidate experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for instructional and fellowship roles, ensuring high-quality hiring outcomes
- Develop and execute targeted recruitment strategies, with a strong emphasis on ClassiCorps
- Proactively source and engage top talent through platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Handshake, and other channels
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of candidates across key talent pools
- Facilitate all stages of the selection process (phone, virtual, and in-person), ensuring rigor, consistency, and an excellent candidate experience
- Track candidate performance, synthesize feedback, and contribute to data-informed hiring decisions
- Continuously refine selection processes through reflection, analysis, and iteration
- Analyze recruitment and selection data to identify trends in candidate behavior, conversion, and performance outcomes
- Use insights to strengthen sourcing strategies, improve conversion rates, and enhance overall hiring effectiveness
- Serve as an ambassador for Classical Charter Schools by building relationships across universities, professional networks, and community organizations
- Represent Classical at career fairs, information sessions, and recruiting events
- Develop and share compelling content that reflects the Classical mission and experience across social media and other platforms
- Partner closely with the Director of Talent to support broader talent initiatives, including retention, risk mitigation, and leadership development
- Contribute to cross-functional projects that strengthen the organization’s overall talent strategy
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2+ years of experience in teaching preferred
- 2+ years of experience in recruitment or teaching (preferably within high-performing charter schools)
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience leveraging data to inform decisions and improve outcomes
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (e.g., Greenhouse, Lever) preferred
- Experience with high volume recruiting
- Experience with marketing, outreach, or social media is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity
