About the Role

Manages all processes related to the company’s recruiting activities for college, experienced, and executive hiring practices. Collaborates and advises hiring managers through the recruiting processes and actions, including job posting development, candidate screening and interviewing, and job offerings. Responsible for updating business areas on the status and actions related to assigned requisitions. Communicates with supporting business partner groups to ensure adherence to company policies and initiatives.

Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer, and calculator. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events. Ensures actions are documented and processes adhere to all company, state, and federal regulations and policies governing hiring practices.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively guides and advises business areas through all aspects of the recruiting process, including job posting, interviewing, and offer development.
  • Develops, advises hiring managers, and executes innovative recruiting strategies to maximize return-on-investment for the business unit.
  • Communicates with hiring managers, stakeholders, and business partners to ensure the recruiting process aligns with CPS Energy’s best interests.
  • Maintains service level and engagement with hiring managers and candidates throughout the process.
  • May participate in or establish relationships, job fairs, and outreach activities to engage prospects and candidates.
  • Engages with prospects and candidates through all phases of the recruitment lifecycle to ensure engagement and increase interest in CPS Energy careers.
  • May coordinate, plan, or collaborate on internal networking, professional development, and awareness activities for existing employees.
  • May provide training on aspects of the recruiting process, supporting systems, or career development.
  • Executes reporting related to headcount planning, weekly recruiting dashboards, and report automation for organizational needs.
  • Presents ad hoc and routine reporting for specific client groups.
  • Performs data integrity audits and resolves open issues with recruiters.
  • Researches and reviews applicant tracking data to recommend improvements for efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of data reports.
  • May lead or assist with assigned special projects.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Relevant recruiting experience consistent with the progression of responsibilities for this position.
  • Basic knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in recruiting.
  • Ability to set priorities, organize work, and make occasional exceptions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, scheduling).
  • Basic knowledge of recruiting applications, software, and social media (e.g., ATS, CRM, LinkedIn).
  • Ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external customers to achieve staffing goals.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills for interaction with all levels of personnel.
  • Ability to meet goals and objectives with minimal direct supervision.
  • Effective interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical skills for gathering and interpreting information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.
  • Experience with both agency and corporate recruiting practices.
  • Experience working in a federally regulated environment (e.g., OFCCP).
  • Experience recruiting in one or more areas (union, engineering, call center, IT, executive).
  • Experience managing the full life cycle of corporate recruiting (from job description development to offer presentation).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Working Environment

  • Indoor work, primarily operating a computer, with manual dexterity, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion.
  • Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer, and calculator.
  • Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events.
  • Work hours may occasionally be extended.

Physical Demands

  • Office environment.
  • Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
  • Sedentary work involving sitting most of the time, with occasional walking and standing required.
