Key Responsibilities
- Source, screen, and interview candidates for a variety of roles, including engineering, finance, HR, and other corporate positions, as well as hourly production positions in our manufacturing facilities.
- Develop and implement creative sourcing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
- Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and ensure alignment on candidate profiles.
- Manage the candidate experience from initial contact through offer, ensuring a high-quality and positive experience for all candidates.
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for both corporate and production roles, leveraging various channels such as ATS, job boards, social media, community partnerships, and industry-specific networks.
- Establish and maintain relationships with local technical schools, colleges, and community organizations to build a pipeline of skilled production workers.
- Manage relationships with temporary staffing agencies to develop a reliable pipeline of temporary employees to support the company during peak production periods.
- Cook up and coordinate with staffing agencies to define temporary staffing needs, ensure alignment on requirements, and provide feedback on candidate quality and fit.
- Monitor agency performance, compliance, and adherence to company policies and standards.
- Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and integration into the company culture.
- Partner with HR and operations to design and deliver employee engagement and retention initiatives, particularly for higher-turnover production roles.
- Ensure all recruitment activities are in compliance with company policies, federal and state regulations, and the industry’s best practices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment records, reports, and metrics to measure the effectiveness of recruitment efforts.
- Serve as a strategic partner to HR and hiring managers, providing market insights and guidance on hiring best practices.
- Act as a brand ambassador, promoting the company’s values and culture in all recruitment interactions.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of manufacturing, paper, packaging, or a related industry is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle recruitment processes and sourcing techniques.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Experience in talent acquisition, with a focus on both corporate and hourly production roles.
- Experience in managing relationships with temporary staffing agencies and leveraging contingent workforces to meet business needs.
