MDHA employs over 300 staff members, has a budget of $215 million, and houses approximately 30,000 people, primarily through nearly 8,000 Section 8 Vouchers and over 6,800 apartments, which are mainly Project-Based Rental Assistance (PBRA) units, at 39 properties. MDHA is a housing authority, a community development agency, and a redevelopment agency.
About the role
The HR Specialist, Talent Acquisition is responsible for supporting the full recruitment lifecycle and representing the organization at job fairs and hiring events. This role partners closely with hiring managers and HR leadership to attract, engage, and hire top talent while delivering a professional candidate experience.
Responsibilities
- Support the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Represent MDHA at job fairs and hiring events to attract and engage potential candidates.
- Partner with hiring managers and HR leadership to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Deliver a professional and positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
