Talent Acquisition Specialist

About the role

Under the direction of the Director of Employment, the Employment Specialist manages the process for internal vacancies, including posting positions, reviewing bidders, communicating with internal bidders and managers, extending offers, and dispositioning candidates. The role requires knowledge of various union contracts, non‑union policies, and benefit plans, and utilizes systems such as BrassRing, Lawson, Microsoft Word & Excel, and Oracle/Discover.

Location: Larkin Bldg @ Exchange Street, Buffalo, NY. Work type: Full‑Time, Shift 1.

Responsibilities

• Post internal vacancies
• Review bidders
• Communicate with internal bidders and managers
• Extend offers
• Disposition candidates
• Manage workflow using BrassRing, Lawson, Microsoft Word & Excel, Oracle/Discover

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• AAS degree preferred
• Familiarity with various HR programs preferred

Qualifications

• 1‑2 years of previous office experience, preferably in Human Resources
• Familiarity with various human resources programs preferred
• Knowledge of union contracts preferred

Skills

• Knowledge of office systems, equipment, and procedures
• PC skills with various software applications
• 40 WPM keyboarding skills

Pay

Salary range: $27.36 – $37.61 per hour; pay frequency: bi‑weekly. Wage determined based on experience, qualifications, internal equity, and applicable collective bargaining agreement.

• Scheduled work hours: 7 am–3 pm on Mondays, 8 am–4 pm Tuesday‑Friday
