Job Summary

The HR Talent Acquisition Specialist provides prompt, efficient, and courteous service to all IMMI team members while supporting the organization’s hiring needs. They are responsible for managing the majority of recruiting activities for Office, Engineering, CAPE, and Manufacturing positions, including building and maintaining a strong candidate pipeline. The specialist takes ownership of the full recruitment lifecycle - from initial candidate engagement through offer acceptance, onboarding, and offboarding - ensuring all processes are completed accurately and timely. This position works closely with hiring managers and HR team members to coordinate communications, maintain compliance, and deliver a seamless and positive candidate experience, regardless of hiring outcome.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities/ Essential Functions

  • Work closely with supervisors and leadership to understand workforce needs and influence hiring decisions.
  • Build pipelines, map talent markets, and engage passive candidates to meet ongoing production and technical staffing needs.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal teams, external vendors, staffing partners, and community organizations.
  • Plan, organize, and represent the company at job fairs, hiring events, community workforce programs, and campus recruiting activities.
  • Source, screen, interview, and hire hourly and salaried talent across manufacturing, office, engineering, and support functions.
  • Lead new hire orientation, coordinate schedules, prepare materials, and support a smooth first day experience.
  • Ensure timely communication and a professional, welcoming process from first contact through offer.
  • Plan, organize, and represent the company at job fairs, hiring events, community workforce programs, and campus recruiting activities.
  • Maintain accurate data in HRIS systems and generate recruiting and HR metrics, including hands-on work in ADP for employee data, onboarding, and HR transactions.
  • Perform general administrative duties within the office that include filing, paperwork, telephone calls, job postings, candidate review, scheduling, and other duties as needed.
  • Aid in the planning and execution of HR events and programs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in recruiting or HR generalist roles, ideally in manufacturing environments.
  • Strong, professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • A strong sense of ownership and accountability for assigned responsibilities, with the ability to work independently and follow through to completion.
  • Proficiency with appropriate HR relevant systems and software.

Required Tools

  • HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now)
  • Microsoft Office Suite

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to visually inspect and interpret designs on screen and in print.
  • Use of functional Core Tools.

Working Conditions/Environment

  • This work is deadline-oriented, requires multitasking, fluctuating work schedule, and flexibility within the workday.
  • Frequent use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary.
  • Requires the ability for close vision, distance vision and depth perception.
  • Requires working and interacting with others, both in person and through phone, electronic, and written correspondence, and the ability to listen effectively, communicate clearly, maintain attention to detail, and perform focused work.
  • When in the warehouse, the use of a variety of proper PPE is required to provide a safe working environment.

Compensation Classification

  • FLSA Status: Exempt (subject to review based on actual job duties and compensation).
