On-siteHuman Resources$25–$28/hrContract
We are an established, privately backed healthcare organization that manages and supports physician practices, surgery centers, and hospital-based service lines across multiple markets. We have grown steadily through partnership and expansion and continue to add new markets and locations.
About the role
The Onboarding Specialist supports Talent Acquisition across recruitment coordination, onboarding, and personnel file management. The role reports to designated Human Resources leadership and has no direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the hiring process with hiring managers, including processing job requisition forms and posting open positions.
- Manage the new hire process end to end: sending offer letters, building orientation packets, following up on background checks and drug screens, verifying I-9 documentation, and completing all new hire paperwork.
- Schedule onboarding and corporate New Employee Orientation for incoming hires.
- Present orientation and compliance training for new hires as part of a presenter rotation.
- Create and maintain employment badges.
- Administer the pre-employment process for all employees and protect the integrity of employee data in the HR system.
- Oversee the transition of transferring employees and any changes in employment status.
- Maintain the job description database for all employees.
- Respond to employment verification requests and general HR service tickets.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a similar onboarding, HR, or talent acquisition support role with comparable responsibilities.
- Working knowledge of recruitment and hiring practices.
- Strong database management skills along with Excel, Word, and general software proficiency.
Benefits
- Join a well-established healthcare organization with a national footprint and steady, ongoing growth.
- Hiring volume and variety are real here, since the company keeps adding markets and locations rather than filling the same handful of requisitions every month.
- You will work directly with hiring managers and HR leadership across the organization, which puts you in front of decision makers early in your career.
- You own a defined process end to end, from requisition and offer letter through background checks, orientation, and badging, rather than handling one narrow slice of it.
- You will present new employee orientation and compliance training on a rotation, which builds presentation experience most coordinator-level roles never offer.
