About the role
The Talent Acquisition and Compensation Specialist position within the Department of Public Health & Environment focuses on providing professional human resources work required for recruitment and selection activities, job evaluation, compensation analysis, and other human resources consultation.

Requirements
- Residency Requirement: This posting is only open to residents of the State of Colorado at the time of submitting your application.
- Minimum Qualifications: Six (6) years of relevant experience in talent acquisition, compensation analysis, data analysis, and job analysis/position description review and classification. Alternatively, a combination of related education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, and/or relevant experience in these areas.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous compensation experience with the State of Colorado Human Resources, previous talent acquisition experience with the State of Colorado Human Resources, advanced experience with Smartsheets, MS Excel, Google Sheets or other databases, experience analyzing compensation data, ensuring internal equity and compliance with laws, rules, and regulations, certified in Selection through DPA, certified in Job Evaluation through DPA, experience in editing, writing and classifying position descriptions, experience utilizing a variety of recruitment and selection strategies, experience providing human resources consultation to a variety of stakeholders, ability to prioritize and multitask to provide exceptional customer service, strong attention to detail, ethical competence and the ability to maintain confidentiality, knowledge of state statutes, personnel board rules, and best practices related to human resources.

- Conditions of Employment: A pre-employment background check will be conducted as part of the selection process. Must be available in the event of an emergency or activation of the Continuity of Operations Plan and be required to report to work immediately at the regular or alternate location.
