About the role
This role is for a Tailor/Fabric Worker at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island (NASWI) with the Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM).
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of tasks including sewing, measuring and marking material, repairing and mending clothing.
- Affix medals, ribbons, badges, and operate a register as needed.
- Operate a sewing machine and perform simple garment alterations and repairs.
Qualifications
- Preferred experience: one year of experience providing knowledge and skill to carry out basic modifications, alterations, and repair of clothing.
- One year of high school education may be substituted for 3 months of experience up to a High School Diploma or GED for 12 months of experience.
