Responsibilities
- Attend and participate in all camp programs and spiritual activities.
- Maintain standard of cleanliness in personal grooming and in living quarters.
- Absorb and implement all program components relative to the daily schedule in a timely fashion.
- Assume responsibility for the care and guidance of campers through all program components.
- Ensure the physical and emotional safety of campers at all times.
- Nurture the spiritual and emotional development of campers.
- Provide a structured and ordered environment that encourages campers participation.
- Participate in all camp activities alongside campers.
- Prepare assigned duties and communicate with Tahoma Director/Assistant Director concerning any and all needs.
- Provide loving discipline consistent with camp behavior expectations.
- Maintain a positive and loving attitude towards staff and campers.
- Assist in the implementation of programs as assigned by the Tahoma Program Director.
- Lead “Selah” and small group discussions with campers.
- Assist in the operation of the Challenge Course as assigned by the Assistant Camp Administrator.
- Participate in weekly debrief at the conclusion of each camp session.
- Complete weekly review and turn in to Tahoma Program Director.
- Participate in review process and set measurable goals.
- Avoid any and all other duties required to provide a consistently excellent program.
Requirements
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects and reach overhead.
- Ability to operate telephone.
- Ability to operate a desktop or laptop computer.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to access and produce information from a computer.
- Ability to understand written information.
