About the role
The TADSS Operator 1 will provide support to the U.S. Army’s Fires Center of Excellence (FCoE). The FCoE at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, serves as the user representative in the development of training methodologies and products, concepts, doctrine, organizational and materiel requirements for each functional area. The FCoE accomplishes this mission through the full spectrum of training services, including the incorporation of training for systems like the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) and the upcoming Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System (IBCS).
Responsibilities
- Operate simulators, task trainers, virtual trainers, and maintain associated supplies and equipment to meet training needs.
- Set up, operate, and manage computerized simulators, virtual reality procedural trainers, audio-video recording systems, and simulation supplies to achieve training objectives.
- Conduct scenario pre-briefs and assist instructors with after-action reports (debriefs) as needed.
- Coordinate and support simulation expertise and resources for standardized courses.
- Assess the suitability of simulation scenarios and recommend adoption or adaptation as necessary.
- Develop troubleshooting checklists, simulator procedures, and lesson plans for M&S equipment.
- Facilitate simulation training sessions and provide feedback to course directors.
- Oversee all simulation encounters, including the collection and analysis of after-action reports (AAR).
Requirements
- Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in an ADA MOS or a minimum of two (2) years of ADA TADSS experience.
- CRAM experience is desired.
Qualifications
- Secret security clearance at time of hiring.
Skills
- Experience with simulators and task trainers.
- Ability to conduct scenario pre-briefs and debriefs.
- Knowledge of modeling and simulation techniques.
- Strong organizational and logistical support skills.
- Effective communication and facilitation abilities.
