Tactical Security Ambassador - Retail

About the role

What matters most in a role like this is your ability to read the environment, anticipate risk, and act accordingly. As a Tactical Security Ambassador, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

Schedule

• Full time, 32 hours per week
• Friday / Saturday, 6:00am - 3:00pm
• Sunday / Monday, 3:00pm - 12:00am

Pay

Competitive hourly wage of $34/hour depending on site pay. DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees.

Responsibilities

• Observe, survey the area and provide reporting on activity at your assigned location
• Work indoor and outdoor in a variable environment
• Provide rapid response in critical situations
• Read and write detailed reports
• Enforce customer procedures, regulations, and standards
• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Detain and search
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

Requirements

• State security license (BSIS Guard Card) and additional 32hr. BSIS security trainings (additional trainings can be obtained during the hiring process)
• Documentation of HS Diploma or GED
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• At least five years of security experience
• 21+ years of age
• Baton permit
• OC spray permit
• Handcuff permit
• Up-to-date security resume
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time

Qualifications

• First aid certification is an asset
• Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience is a plus
