Responsibilities
- Perform advanced layout, orientation, and alignment of complex parts and assemblies using detailed prints and specifications.
- Execute precision fit‑up of tubing, micro‑fits, flanges, and multi‑component assemblies with minimal supervision.
- Plan and sequence work using deep knowledge of geometry, heat effects, weld shrinkage, tolerances, and material characteristics.
- Apply advanced straightening, tweaking, and heat‑shrinkage techniques to correct distortion and ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Troubleshoot fit‑up and alignment issues; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior tackers on layout techniques, blueprint interpretation, and workmanship standards.
- Collaborate with welders, inspectors, and production teams to maintain workflow and reduce rework.
- Ensure all work meets company workmanship standards, quality requirements, and customer specifications.
- Follow all safety, cleanroom, and manufacturing protocols as required.
- Maintain excellent attendance and perform additional duties to support production operations.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of related experience in manufacturing/aerospace/engineering industry.
- Able to comprehend electrical / mechanical drawings.
- Able to work in cleanroom environment; wearing jumpsuits, safety helmet and safety shoes.
- NITEC / Higher NITEC/ Professional Certificate or its equivalent.
- Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics /Mechatronics/Engineering.
