Tableau BI Developer / Tableau Analytics Developer
Position type: Full-time, Contract
Duration: 12 months (with high possibilities of extension)
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
About the role
The Enterprise Business Intelligence Technology team is seeking a skilled Tableau Desktop Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced Tableau dashboards and visualizations to support business intelligence and decision-making processes. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in data visualization, and the ability to translate complex data sets into clear, actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop interactive and user-friendly Tableau dashboards and reports.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure data solutions meet business needs.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Optimize and maintain existing Tableau dashboards.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reports and visualizations.
- Stay updated with Tableau best practices and new features.

Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Tableau Desktop Developer.
- Strong proficiency in Tableau Desktop and data visualization best practices.
- Solid understanding of SQL, data querying, and fundamentals of data modeling.
- Experience with data preparation and ETL processes.
- Experience with industry BI/Reporting toolsets including Tableau, MicroStrategy, Cognos, Power BI, ThoughtSpot, Qlik.
- Experience with connecting to Hadoop, Oracle, Sybase, DB2, Netezza, Teradata, and SQL databases.
- Experience with Data Science integration and application (Python, R).
- Experience with ETL tools (Trifecta, Alteryx, SSIS, Informatica).
- Experience with programming languages (Python, APIs, Web Data Connectors, Tableau Extensions, JavaScript).
- Experience with Financial services data and large data volumes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Pay
Pay Range: $62 – $65 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
