About the role

The Dealer Trainee is trained to create an entertainment environment for all guests, providing courteous, friendly, and prompt service in Table Games.

Responsibilities

  • Provides an upbeat personality for all interactions with guests and fellow employees.
  • Proactively anticipates customer needs and familiarizes self with guests to know names and personal facts.
  • Handles money and provides chips for guests with strong money handling skills.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of card games and basic understanding of other games and services offered at the property.
  • Understands and adheres to department policies and procedures, including Federal and Regulatory laws and guidelines.
  • Builds and achieves customer satisfaction while promoting special promotions appropriately.
  • Coordinates with Casino Operations supervisors and Security to detect and prevent cheating and identify floor irregularities.
  • Acts as a role model, presenting oneself as a credit to Caesars and encouraging others to do the same.
  • Performs any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Department Head.

Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain a Non-Key LA Gaming License and Responsible Vendor Certification.
  • Strong money handling and documentation skills.
  • Effective communication with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work any day of the week and any shift.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, twist, and lift.
  • Responds to visual and aural cues.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Must be able to lift, pull, push, or carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Works varying schedules based on business needs.
  • Must work inside and continuously maneuver around the Pit area and throughout the hotel/casino property.
  • Must tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust while on the casino floor.
  • Ability to work well with co-workers as part of a team.
