Table Games Assistant Shift Manager
About the role
Responsible for supervising staff and the overall daily management of a designated shift in the table games department. Supports, administers and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives. Adheres to scheduling and coordinates with manager any scheduling concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Safeguard chips, cards, dice and all other gaming equipment.
- Maintain table inventories and manage table limits.
- Manage paperwork, logs, schedules, and communication for the Table Games department.
- Maintain security of assigned table games during shift.
- Evaluate team members and deliver feedback.
- Manage work procedures and expedite workflow.
- Recommend staffing and scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and report potential issues.
Requirements
- Associates Degree (A.A.) in related field; or four years of experience in a comparable Table Games Operations supervisory position; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent skills in both written and oral communication.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word).
- Knowledge of Table Games operating systems.
- Ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to present information and respond to questions.
- Knowledge of all Table Games and Table Games Operations.
- Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
