About the role

The Transfer Agency Investor Onboarding Team Leader at BBH is responsible for driving the direction of the team, ensuring quality and high client satisfaction. This role involves working closely with the manager to ensure efficient operations and meeting deadlines. Key responsibilities include managing due diligence reviews, AML/KYC compliance, and overseeing team performance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely due diligence reviews on investor documents.
• Escalate issues related to sanctions, AML negative news, and politically exposed persons.
• Manage the review and verification of complex account opening assessments.
• Deputise for the manager when needed.
• Review and approve global AML/KYC requirements for various investor types.
• Follow up and oversee remediation of non-compliant accounts.
• Communicate with compliance and senior management on escalated issues.
• Train and support team members in AML knowledge and personal development.
• Prepare and review investor due diligence files for audits.
• Liaise with other departments on client and investor queries.
• Lead the team to maintain excellent client relationships and address issues professionally.
• Manage controls to minimize risks and ensure efficient processing of IOB/IOM activities.
• Report issues and errors to managers and retain knowledge of industry initiatives.
