About the role

Serve as a current and qualified, instrument-rated, multi or single-engine advanced military flight simulator and academic instructor for students enrolled in the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training (ENJJPT) Undergraduate Pilot Training (UPT) program and for rated upgrade pilots enrolled in the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training (ENJJPT) Pilot Instructor Training (PIT) program.

Responsibilities

  • Teach students the intricacies of military flight simulation and academic instruction.
  • Ensure all students adhere to safety protocols and maintain proficiency in various flight scenarios.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to enhance student performance and understanding of aviation concepts.
  • Document and maintain accurate flight logs and records as required by the program.

Requirements

  • 1500 total flight hours
  • 250 pilot-in-command hours
  • 75 night flying hours
  • 75 instrument hours (with at least 10 hours in actual instrument conditions)
  • 500 instructor flight hours (fixed wing)

Qualifications

  • Must be a US Civilian
  • Experience as a rated military aviator (pilot) is critical
  • Previous experience as an instructor in a military aircraft is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems and operating procedures, aerodynamics, flying fundamentals, aircraft instrumentation, ground and flight emergency procedures, and instrument and visual flight rules
  • Knowledge of curriculum development, instructional techniques, and training resources
  • Proficiency in using a variety of computer applications and software, including simulator systems
  • Ability to demonstrate flying procedures and maneuvers in an aircraft simulator
