Systems Test Engineer - Hardware 2/3

Responsibilities
- Generate 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) models of ground equipment and cable routing using vendor-provided and custom CAD data.
- Build 3D COTS WRA assemblies, cable drawings, and rack assemblies using CATIA V5.
- Generate and release Hardware, Interconnect, and Schematic drawing packages with drawing release through the Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool.
- Provide technical support in the development of formal Change Requests progressing through program review boards.
- Support customer audits of engineering documentation and system configurations.
- Provide engineering support for production and development activities including integration of hardware and software.
- Serve as a member of responsible engineers supporting hardware development in Triton labs.
- Support development of new hardware design recommendations for iterative IFC4 builds.
- Investigate integration findings, perform audits, hardware installation, hardware failure analysis, and replacement.
- Serve as a principal subject matter focal point between maintenance, design engineering, and test site team—contractor and customer.
- Work under only general direction to determine and develop approaches to solutions; work both within a team environment and independently.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline and one of the following:
- 2 years of related professional/military experience (Level 2), or
- 5 years of related professional/military experience (Level 3), or
- Master’s degree and 0 years (Level 2) or 3 years (Level 3) of related professional/military experience, or
- Ph.D. and 1 year of related professional/military experience (Level 3).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret clearance.
- Experience generating 3D CAD models for ground support equipment, cable routing, and rack assemblies.
- Hands-on experience with CATIA V5 for 3D modeling and drafting.
- Experience creating COTS WRA assemblies, cable drawings, and rack assembly drawings.
- Ability to occasionally work odd shifts including nights and weekends.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Self-motivated, thorough, and detail-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3D CAD experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools such as Teamcenter.
- An active U.S. Government Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Pay
- Level 2: $83,400.00 – $125,200.00
- Level 3: $103,600.00 – $155,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
