Systems Support Technician
About the role
The St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners is seeking a Systems Support Technician for their Management Information Systems (MIS) Department. Located in St. Augustine, Florida, this position provides technical support for the maintenance and operation of the County’s Management Information Systems.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots and repairs computers, scanners, printers, and other peripheral equipment.
- Installs and supports software applications, including operating systems, in-house applications, and third-party applications.
- Maintains and updates equipment documentation.
- Prepares and configures new computers and equipment for deployment.
- Captures and tests network cables.
- Maintains a full-time presence on the job.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent recognized certification.
- A minimum of one (1) year of related experience, which may be obtained through an apprenticeship, internship, or similar position, demonstrating knowledge of the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position.
- A valid Florida driver’s license and any other endorsements necessary to legally operate vehicles used while assigned to this position.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to serve others.
- Comprehend, speak and write the English language.
- Ability to operate a computer.

Salary Range: $52,228.80 - $69,763.20
