Systems Sr Administrator (IT)

About the role

The DaVita Senior Systems Administrator works in a fast-paced, technology-dependent, security-conscious environment. Administrators ensure the effective and efficient delivery of information systems within an ITIL structure. They are responsible for a combination of production support and new project initiatives. Senior Systems Administrators work to maintain a highly available environment in support of a large user community in a multi-platform, multi-location environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide Senior-level support for day-to-day operations as well as guidance on new technologies that advance the capabilities of the Linux-Unix Infrastructure team.
• Responsible for the full system lifecycle of Linux workloads from provisioning to decommission.
• Familiarity with Cloud infrastructure such as Azure, GCP, or AWS; GCP experience preferred.
• Experience with Cloud provisioning and migration of on-prem workloads to the Cloud.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and DevOps concepts.
• Familiarity with DevOps toolsets, such as Jenkins, git, bitbucket, Morpheus or equivalent, preferred.
• Intermediate or higher level of scripting skills. Proficiency on one or more of the following: bash, python, ruby, PowerShell or equivalent.
• Experience with system hardening and configuration management of production systems. Familiarity with automation toolsets such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef.
• Responsible for improvements to security posture and remediation of OS and system vulnerabilities.
• Provides second-level support for incidents and tasks received by the ISG Compute Linux-Unix team.
• Familiarity with ITIL concepts, such as incident and change management.
• Ensure high levels of performance and availability for production Linux environments that host a variety of applications.
• Create and maintain procedures and system documentation within a Confluence structure, sharing knowledge with teammates.
• Participate in the strategic planning and direction of the ISG organization and lifecycle of servers on Prem and in the Cloud.
• Analyze system utilization and trending to plan for system, application, compute, and storage growth.
• Aids in the installation of applications as required by development and application teams.
• Participate in the product selection, testing and implementation of new toolsets.

Pay

This position will be open for a minimum of three days.
