About the role
Spang Power Electronics, a division of Spang & Company, is seeking a Systems Sales Engineer to join their team. Based in Mentor, OH, with sites in Sandy Lake, PA, and Xiamen, China, this position will focus on selling and delivering AC/DC power systems to customers and engineering companies within the designated industry segment.
Responsibilities
- Develop specialized application knowledge within the designated industry
- Forecast both short- and long-term sales by customer
- Deliver and present proposed systems solutions to clients
- Negotiate to convert proposals into purchase orders
- Enter successful projects into IFS
- Assign project teams for execution
- Collaborate with the VP of Business Development and other senior management to drive business growth in assigned industry segments
- Coordinate with the Systems Engineering team to ensure designs are completed on schedule and within budget
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or Electronics Technology
- Prioritization of a Master’s Degree
- 5-10 years of experience in the sales of industrial power equipment
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with industrial control applications
- Knowledge of SCR Power Controllers, custom Transformers, and AC/DC Power Systems
Skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
