Systems Maintenance Associate

About the Role

Culver Academies is a private boarding school dedicated to educating students for leadership and responsible citizenship. We are seeking a Systems Maintenance Associate to support our campus utility systems and contribute to our mission of developing the whole individual.

Our campus is located on the shore of Lake Maxinkuckee in Culver, Indiana, encompassing 1,800 acres of green hills, woodlands, and historic Gothic architecture.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings related to various utility systems on campus.
• Maintain and repair HVAC refrigeration units across campus.
• Perform repairs, modifications, replacements, and installations of water, storm, and sewer systems.
• Apply basic electrical experience to troubleshoot and maintain campus systems.
• Maintain accurate records of preventative and regular maintenance performed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Indiana Driver’s License with a good driving record.
• 2–5 years of experience in HVAC refrigeration.
• General knowledge of plumbing, welding, equipment, and mechanical operational and maintenance procedures.
• Working knowledge of machinery, pumps, equipment, HVAC, boilers, and refrigeration lines.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, shop math, and work order interpretation skills.

Postsecondary courses in shop, plumbing, drafting, blueprint reading, computers, general mathematics, and physics are desired.
