Systems Interoperability and Integration Engineer - Active Top Secret Clearance
Position Duties
Develop and analyze technical requirements, documentation, approaches, and acquisition strategies for system integration and modernization.
Perform cybersecurity implementations, information assurance (IA), and system/program protection planning and execution.
Conduct Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) and spectrum management analyses, testing, and certification.
Lead systems-of-systems interoperability and architecture development efforts using Sparx and Magic Draw tools to produce DoDAF 2/SysML architecture products.
Support mission planning, machine-to-machine data flows, information technology integration, and communications engineering.
Ensure standards compliance, interoperability testing, and NSA certification processes are followed.
Analyze and support the integration of operated and unmanned aircraft systems within secure, networked environments.
Develop engineering solutions that facilitate secure user interaction with legacy and modern combat, logistics, and IT systems.
Perform analyses to support COMSEC management and Critical Program Information (CPI) protection.
Contribute to testing methodologies and assessments for secure interaction with multi-service strategic, theater, and tactical systems.
Requirements
- Education: Master's degree in Engineering or a closely related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years of engineering experience, specifically in interoperability and integration. At least 5 years of experience within the Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
- Technical Skills and Knowledge: Proficiency in systems interoperability, integration engineering, and secure communications. Expertise in C3, IT, and ISR systems and standards. Experience with Sparx and/or Magic Draw modeling tools for developing DoDAF 2 and SysML architecture. Deep understanding of system architecture, mission planning, encryption, COMSEC, spectrum management, and cybersecurity compliance. Familiarity with acquisition strategies, technology modernization plans, and operational requirements of strategic and tactical defense systems.
