About the role

The Systems Integration Engineer, Senior role combines technical skills with big picture thinking to deliver solutions for national security space missions. You will work on a top-priority space program, integrating space, ground, and crypto segments to meet user needs. You will support the chief engineer and manage the engineering team, ensuring capabilities are delivered to meet threats.

Responsibilities

  • Translate real-world needs into technical specifications
  • Develop and deploy next-generation strategic military satellite communications capabilities
  • Work with Booz Allen colleagues, support contractors, and U.S. Space Force personnel
  • Manage the risk management process on space-related ground, software, or hardware systems
  • Identify, analyze, and propose program risks, issues, and opportunities
  • Manage risk handling plans
  • Use Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Use Model-Based Systems Engineering or Digital Engineering approaches

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or integration in DoD satellite systems or ground systems
  • 1+ years of experience with space system and DoD program reviews, including SRR, SDR, and SFR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, FCA, or PCA
  • Major Defense Acquisition Programs experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience using a Model-Based Systems Engineering or Digital Engineering approach
  • Ability to be highly motivated, display a dynamic work ethic, and contribute to the DoD mission
  • Effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
  • TS/SCI clearance

Skills

  • Expertise in Military Satellite Communications Mission area
  • Experience with space acquisition
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Experience with software factories or DevSecOps pipelines
  • Confluence or JIRA experience
  • Agile Certification (CSM, CPO, PMI-ACP, ICP)
  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certifications (ASEP, CSEP, ESEP)

Pay

$86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD)

Schedule

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
