Systems Installer - Mechanic

About the role

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aerospace organization to find skilled Systems Installer – Mechanic for work on aircraft systems in Mobile, AL. The position is 2nd shift with a pay rate of $30.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical components and parts for installation.
• Mark, prepare, assemble, adapt, torque, and secure mechanical components.
• Install and manufacture mechanical components in accordance with drawings, specifications, orders, and applicable GTIs.
• Inspect bonding to ensure compliance with required standards.
• Perform system function checks and verify proper operation.
• Specialize in one or more of the following areas: VTP and HTP installation; Hydraulic line installation; Belly fairing and flap installation; Air conditioning and fuel system installation; MLG & tank testing; Gauging testing.
• Perform additional mechanical installation and production tasks as needed.
• Maintain a strong focus on quality, precision, safety, and production requirements.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in aviation production or an equivalent field.
• High School Diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Must comply with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR) – access limited to U.S. Persons or licensed foreign nationals.

Skills

• Experience installing aircraft systems or structural/mechanical components.
• Hands‑on experience with hydraulic, fuel, air conditioning, flight‑control, or landing‑gear systems.
• Experience with aircraft testing, gauging, bonding inspection, or torque/fastening procedures.
• Familiarity with aerospace production standards and documentation.
