Systems Engineering Project Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a Systems Engineering Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to lead planning and execution of complex technical programs across Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, software, hardware, quality, and other cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, resources, and deliverables.
• Drive cross-functional execution and facilitate planning, governance, and stakeholder meetings.
• Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, changes, and mitigation plans.
• Support Agile/Scrum and hybrid project management, including sprint/release planning and retrospectives.
• Develop status reports, dashboards, milestone tracking, and leadership-level project analytics.
• Coordinate supplier, resource, financial, and contractor-related activities.
• Ensure clear communication, accountability, and predictable delivery across workstreams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of technical project/program management experience in engineering, product development, software, or technology.
• Strong experience with schedules, dependencies, risks, stakeholder management, and cross-functional teams.
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with Systems Engineering, requirements management, systems integration, verification planning, and digital/model-based engineering.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, DOORS/IBM ELM, Windchill, Cameo/MagicDraw, Airtable, or similar platforms.
• Experience with hardware, embedded software, digital/cloud products, or IT systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical device, life sciences, or regulated product-development experience.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or similar certification.

Location: Alameda, CA | Hybrid | Quarterly travel to Alameda, CA required
