About the role

As a Flight Test Execution Manager, you will lead the program’s system integration and flight test efforts, including technical direction, planning, staffing, and execution of a weapon system-level integration and test team to ensure the weapon system meets its performance, safety, and functional objectives.

You will manage systems and project engineering resources for the program, provide programmatic and proposal support, and coordinate test lab activities for Navy/Army efforts to drive execution. Additionally, you will offer guidance to a Systems Engineering team across the entire Systems Engineering lifecycle—from architecture and requirements development to weapons system operations and integration.

This role involves developing strong working relationships with the larger systems team, national team members, and customers to ensure successful product delivery. You will utilize excellent interpersonal skills to resolve programmatic and technical issues, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans. Collaboration with government and customer representatives will support critical daily space-based operations and distributed multi-element deliveries. Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate test lab activities for Navy/Army efforts to drive execution.
  • Guide a Systems Engineering team through the entire lifecycle, from architecture and requirements development to weapons system operations and integration.
  • Develop strong working relationships with the systems team, national team members, and customers to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Resolve programmatic and technical issues, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
  • Collaborate with government and customer representatives to support space-based operations and multi-element deliveries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or closely related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working on complex systems programs (missile, spacecraft, etc.).
  • Experience performing systems engineering functions.
  • Experience with the readiness/execution of system-level tests.
  • Experience integrating or troubleshooting electrical or hardware-software systems.
  • Active Secret Clearance.

Skills

  • Experienced as a technical leader; previous L-coded leadership or management experience.
  • Experience interfacing with Range Safety and Customer Counterparts.
  • Experience with Navy or Army customers.
  • Experience working in the development phase of a missile program.

Pay

Full-time salary ranges by geographic zone (GeoZones are defined by Lockheed Martin to align compensation with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences):

  • GeoZone 1: $161,300.00 - $299,500.00 (includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale, CA; Palo Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, NJ; etc.)
  • GeoZone 2: $145,100.00 - $269,500.00 (includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.)
  • GeoZone 3: $129,000.00 - $239,600.00 (includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas–Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.)
  • GeoZone 4: $116,100.00 - $215,700.00 (includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Ocala, FL; Lufkin, TX; etc.)

Salary is a general guideline and may vary based on scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market considerations.
